Game meets museum: At the A MAZE. Museum Online Game Jam, game experts will embark on a three-day virtual marathon from July 19 to 21 to come up with game ideas that fit the eight research museums. Do you program, develop and design games and are you full of ideas for an exciting knowledge game? Then sign up and join in.
People, animals and plants, technology, cultures, and ideas: we all circulate, adapt to new environments, and help to shape them. Our world is in motion. And that’s what makes it so fascinating and appealing - but sometimes also threatening. We would like to explore this world of motion and shape the future together. A MAZE. Museum Online Game Jam
to develop a fun, interactive, educational application for an online museum game within 48 hours.
• Date & Time: Monday, July 19, 2021, 10 a.m. to Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. (UTC+2)
• Format: Digital
• Free admission with limited participants or teams (max. 50 persons)
• Game Jam will be in English via Discord. We are using itch.io to share your results.

Meet game and playful media creators from around the world, connect to others interested in museums, work with experts from the Leibniz Research Museums. By creating a concept or, if possible, a playable prototype for a browser-based museum game or game application we want to bring people together, make science and culture more accessible, understandable, useful and enjoyable.
All idea submissions will be featured on the Research Museums’ website – and if your idea is chosen by the jury, we’d like to implement your game!
