An overview of our research

-

Our research and exhibition programme is structured by three areas that form the basis for the exhibitions and research in the German Maritime Museum: Shipping and the Environment, Shipbuilding and Shipping in a Socio-Economic Context, and Ships and Knowledge. These thematic areas combine our research with non-specific maritime scientific directions. In this way, the museum can deal with interdisciplinary issues that go beyond the topics of the research areas and link activities more closely with one another.
