    How to find us

You can easily reach us by car, train and bus.

The German Maritime Museum is located in the middle of the port world of Bremerhaven, the seaport and port city, directly on the dyke between the Old Harbour and the Weser. It can be easily reached by car, train and bus.

By car: From the Bremerhaven-Mitte exit (exit 7) on the A 27 motorway, follow the motorway feeder road to Columbusstraße, which will take you to the museum grounds on the banks of the Weser. The way is signposted. Limited parking is available. Please use the parking lot between the radar tower and the south side of our museum.

By train/bus: If you plan to travel to the German Maritime Museum by public transport, there are several bus lines available. From main station Bremerhaven, take lines 502, 505, 506, 508 or 509 and get off at the "Hochschule Bremerhaven" stop. Cross the market square diagonally in the direction of Hansa Carré and walk between the houses directly towards the old port. Directly behind is the German Maritime Museum. You can also take bus no. 501 at Bremerhaven main station and get off at the stop "Deutsches Schifffahrtsmuseum / Stadttheater".

From Bremerhaven main station on foot: The distance from the main station to the German Maritime Museum is 1.8 km. You can also walk from there.
