Gabriella Gonçalles
"My work at the German Maritime Museum provides a practical context in which academic research and visual culture converge. In my day-to-day work, I move between different levels of production and outreach, support visual access to archive materials, and explore how maritime history is documented, interpreted and communicated. This role enables me to reflect on how collections are brought to life and transformed into forms of knowledge — both for research and for a wider audience."
